First Time Right at Every Client Meeting

In the second installment of our conversations with CONTROLTEK employees about how they achieve the First Time Right ideal in their work, we chat with Strategic Account Executive Lance Paskewitz who recently received the Rockstar Rookie Award.

What is your role at CONTROLTEK?

I become the face of CONTROLTEK to many brands that range from small start-ups to some of the most prestigious and well-known brands in the world. I help our customers protect their cash and their merchandise in store and in transit. This involves everything from helping them keep their merchandise safe on the truck with a trailer seal, keeping it safe in the store with a security tag, and even installing an EAS system at the store to keep unpurchased merchandise safely where it belongs. I help our clients keep their cash safe by having them put it in the world’s most secure tamper-evident cash bag when they transport their money to the bank.

How do you deliver First Time Right in your work?

To deliver First Time Right on every task would be very difficult if it wasn’t part of our DNA here at CONTROLTEK. Any time a new brand reaches out to me for help I ask a lot of questions to fully understand their mission, their vision, and the goal they would like to achieve. Then this becomes my mission, vision, and goal. Listening helps me consult in a way that ensures my recommendations are right the first time.

What’s the favorite part of your job?

I love collaborating with my team here at CONTROLTEK to solve challenges for our customers. We have a lot of different expertise and experiences which helps us view every challenge from a different angle to ensure we solve it right the first time. I also love getting out and meeting my clients at tradeshows or at their offices and stores. Meeting new people and securing new opportunities to help different brands succeed is what drives me every day.

What inspires you?

I am a competitive person who loves sports so I always want to be the best at everything I do. I want to be the best on my team, best in the industry, and be the best option for my clients. I am inspired when I watch the journeys of other business people and how they take on the culture of continuous improvement. I try to take that on myself and always try to be a better me.

What’s the number one thing you’d like the world to know about CONTROLTEK?

We’ve been around for over 40 years and are trusted by some of the largest government entities and banks in the world! Our focus on our people has been the key to building a team with a global outreach and a customer-centric outlook. When companies reach out to us for help, we do everything we can to either help them ourselves or lead them to someone that can.
